This is the Driver 1 remote for the 2005-2007 Cadillac STS when equipped with factory remote start. The GM part number is 15212383. The FCC ID of the remote is M3N65981403. All our remotes get tested on keyless entry testers to ensure they are sending proper signals. We have free tech support to help with programming if needed. The remote includes instructions to program vehicle to accept new remotes.
The 2005-2007 STS came two ways, with factory remote start or without. If you have factory remote start and are missing the driver 1 remote then buy this 15212383 remote. If you are missing the driver 2 remote then buy the 15212382 remote instead. If your vehicle has no remote start from the factory, then buy 15222347.
Programming Procedure:
To match a new transmitter to your vehicle when you have a recognized transmitter, do the following. Two recognized transmitters are required for Canadian owners.
1. The vehicle must be off.
2. Have the recognized transmitter and the new, unrecognized transmitter (s) with you.
3. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver?? door.
4. Turn the key to unlock position five times within five seconds.
5. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display READY FOR FOB #X, where X can be 2, 3 or 4.
6. Place the new unprogrammed transmitter into the transmitter pocket with the transmitter buttons facing front of the vehicle. The Transmitter pocket is inside the center console storage area located between the driver and front passenger seats.
7. Once the transmitter is programmed, a beep will sound. The DIC will display READY FOR #X, where X can be 3 or 4, or MAX # FOBS LEARNED.
8. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and the press the unlock button on the keyless access transmitter two times.
