Description

This remote was used by many ford dealerships as a dealer installed upgrade. Systems that use this remote were installed by many alarm shops around the country in the late 90s early 00s.  The original FCC ID on the remote was GOH-FOUR.  Code Alarm recently redesigned the remote with FCC ID ELVATKC. This is a Code Alarm Type 1 Remote, meaning it can be used to replace or be replaced by any Type 1 Keyfob.  This is a 315 MHz remote.  This remote has 4 buttons.  There is a 434 MHz remote with FCC ID GOH-FOUR that is easily confused with this one because it looks identical.  Code Alarm has made this remote with a few different button icons but they all operate the same way.  No matter which icons are on the remote you receive, it will work the same as any other.

Works on these Code alarm Systems: CSM2.5, CSM3, CSM4, ELITE1100, ELITE1500, ELITE2000SE, ELITE4000, ELITE4500, ELITE6500, ELITE911, ELITE950, ELITECOMPETITION, PRO100, PRO1000, PRO200, PRO3000, PRO3500, PRO5000, PRO5500, PRO7000, PRO750, RCS2, RKE1, SURESTARTRVS, SURESTARTRVSII, SURESTARTSE, and SURESTARTSE433.

Warning: There are two remotes with GOH-FOUR as an FCC ID.  One of them works on 315MHz and one of them on 434MHz.  You need to order the correct one or it won't work.  This one is for 315MHz only.

GOH-FOUR PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS:

Most systems use this procedure:

Note: The system will retain the last 4 remote codes programmed.  The 5th remote knocks out the 1st, and so on...  This system has 1 button programming which programs all channels of the system.

1.  Turn the ignition key ON (turn key all the way forward without starting vehicle).
2.  Press and Hold the valet-programming-override button (located under dash). In approximately 10 seconds the system will chirp/flash parking lights 3 times.  Release the button.
3.  Press the #1 button (top left when key-ring hole is at bottom) on the remote you wish to program. The system will respond with a chirp.
4.  All other remotes (up to four) also need to be programmed at this time the same as in step 3.
5.  Turn ignition off to exit programming mode.

A system called CSM-3 uses this procedure:

Note: Each system module has four “slots”, or memory locations, to store transmitter codes, giving it the ability to operate from up to four transmitters. For proper operation, a transmitter code must be stored into each memory slot. When using less than four transmitters, follow the suggested programming parameters:
-One Remote Transmitter - Program four (4) times
-Two Remote Transmitters - Program each transmitter two (2) times
-Three Remote Transmitters - Program one transmitter twice, and each remaining transmitter once.
1. Press and hold the brake pedal. Turn the ignition on and off three (3) times, then release the brake pedal. If done correctly, the unit will respond by flashing the parking lights three (3) times. (From inside the vehicle, you will hear three (3) ‘clicks’ from the module.) This indicates that the unit has entered the programming mode.
2. Without pressing the brake pedal, press the LOCK button (button 1) on the remote transmitter to be programmed. The parking lights will flash once (one click from the module), indicating that the system has “learned” that remote transmitter.
3. Press the TRUNK button (button 3) on the same remote transmitter. The parking lights will flash twice (two clicks from the module), indicating that the
system recognizes the remote transmitter as four-button.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any additional transmitters or transmitter codes.
5. Press and release the brake pedal to exit the programming mode. Test all remote transmitters to ensure that they work properly.
