There are two possible reasons for there to be no 8th pin. The first reason is if the vehicle does not have factory keyless entry. To test that simply call us with your VIN number and we can check. The second possible reason is that the vehicle did not come from the factory with the factory keyless entry system but at the dealership before the car was sold they added a factory keyless entry system. In this case the GM technician will put a programming connector somewhere in the car. The most common place to put it is by the right or left side of the trunk behind the trim panel. If you can't find the connector in the trunk then start by locating the keyless entry receiver and tracing the single wire that goes to the programming connector. If the connector has one terminal then ground it to the car when the instructions say to connect the 4 and 8. If the connector has two terminals then connect them when the instructions say to connect the 4 and 8. Follow the rest of the instructions in procedure 120 without any other changes.
