Description

When there aren't 2 working Smart Key Remote to use to initiate programming, an automotive locksmith is required for programming. But if you have two Smart Key Remotes that are already working with the vehicle, this can be programmed using an easy to follow customer programming procedure.


Remote For Lincoln:

Factory Keyless Entry Smart Key transmitter with FCC ID M3N5WY8406. The Ford part number is 164-R7032 or AA5T-15K601-AA. The Strattec part number is 5912477 or 7012479. This remote has 4 buttons, tested and guaranteed to work.


Programming Procedure:

  • You must have two previously programmed intelligent access keys inside the vehicle and the new un-programmed intelligent access keys readily accessible. You must take your new un-programmed intelligent access key if two previously programmed remotes are not available.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is OFF, all doors are closed and all doors remain closed throughout the procedure. Perform the steps exactly described below and within 30 seconds of starting sequence. If any steps are performed out of sequence, stop and wait at least one minute before doing it again.

Please read and understand the entire procedure before you begin.

1. Place the new un-programmed intelligent access key in the pocket inside the center console utility compartment.
2. Press the driver or passenger power door unlock control three times.
3. Press and release the brake pedal one time.
4. Press the driver or passenger power door lock control three times.
5. Press and release the brake pedal one time. The indicator on the Start/Stop button should begin to rapidly flash, indication that the programming mode has been successfully activated and two previously programmed remotes have been detected in the vehicle.
6. Within one minute, press the start/stop button. A message will be displayed on the message center indicating that the new Intelligent Access Key was programmed.
7. Remove the Intelligent Access Key from utility compartment pocket and press the unlock or lock control on the newly programmed intelligent access keys to exit programming mode.
8. Verify that the remote entry functions operate (lock, unlock) and that the vehicle starts with new Intelligent Access Key.

Order cancellations can only be requested prior to shipment.

RETURN PROCEDURE

To return a product, you must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) that is located in the MY ACCOUNT section next to each order item that you want to return. Once you've selected the items to return and the reason, you will be given return instructions.

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

There are 2 ways you can go about exchanging a product:

Option 1 (Slower) - Use the standard return procedure to request an RMA for the part you need exchanged. In your request please specify the exact item(s) you would like to exchange to. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process an exchange and ship the new part. If there is a difference in the price, you will be either refunded or charged the difference.

Option 2 (Faster) - Order the new part over the phone and request to include a prepaid label to send back the first purchase for refund.

DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

We all know that accidents happen sometimes. If your product(s) will arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible. Please do not attempt to use or install the part! We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective part. Product(s) must be returned to us within 30 days. If the damage was caused by a shipping courier, we will schedule a damage pick up by the courier.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

When you request a cancellation of an order or a part it may take up to 24 business hours to process your cancellation claim. This process may involve voiding orders in computer systems, removing items from backorder logs, having operations personnel pull items from production schedules and sometimes stopping orders at the shipping dock. Also note that sometimes products ship more quickly than expected, so we recommend that you do not purchase alternative products until receiving final confirmation of your cancellation.

REFUNDS & CREDITS

After we accept your return, you will be issued a refund via the same payment method as you had originally used to place the order. The refund amount will be composed of the original purchase price minus shipping charges. You will be sent an email confirming receipt of the return and your credit. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for the credit to appear on your account.

Battery Replacement

Remote Batteries

Buy CR2032 Battery

To replace the battery:

  1. Remove the backup key from the transmitter, then twist a thin coin in the slot hidden behind the backup key slot to remove the battery cover. Note: Do not wipe off any grease on the battery terminals or on the back surface of the circuit board.
  2. Remove the old battery. Note: Please refer to local regulations when disposing of transmitter batteries.
  3. Insert the new battery. Refer to the instructions inside the IA key for the correct orientation of the battery. Press the battery down to ensure that the battery is fully seated in the battery housing cavity.
  4. Snap the battery cover back onto the transmitter and install the backup key.

Note: Replacement of the battery will not cause the remote transmitter to become deprogrammed from your vehicle. The remote transmitter should operate normally after battery replacement.
