Both the Dealer Installed and Factory installed system use the same procedure so performing the verification will only tell you if you are equipped with a keyless entry system but it won't tell you if you have factory or a dealer installed system.
If you don't have a remote to compare to then call your local toyota dealer parts department and give them the VIN number of your vehicle and ask for the part number of the keyless entry transmitter you need.

Dealer Installed System & Factory Installed System:
Perform the following test to see if you have this system:
Start with the following conditions:

  1. Key is out of the ignition
  2. Driver door is open (all other doors are closed)
  3. Driver door is unlocked (other door locks don’t matter).
  4. Insert the key into the ignition (don’t turn it) and pull it out.
  5. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
  6. Using the power lock/unlock switch on the driver’s door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. A lock/unlock cycle consists of pressing the power lock switch, followed by pressing the power unlock switch on the driver’s door panel. Use an even pace and try to go relatively fast.
  7. Close, then open the driver’s door.
  8. Perform these steps within 40 seconds:
  9. Using the power lock/unlock switch on the driver’s door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock (just as you did previously).
  10. Insert Key in ignition.
  11. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine), then back to OFF.
  12. Remove the key from the ignition.
  13. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.
