This is a transponder key (chipkey.)  The transponder must be programmed in order for it to start the vehicle. 

Go to an automotive locksmith for transponder programming.

 

Note:  This is an original Honda key still sealed in the Honda bag.  Most internet retailers are selling a Chinese knockoff which we don't like because the logo easily falls off and the quality of the metal is different.  That is why they can sell the key a bit cheaper than us.  We won't compromise on quality - especially when we can still beat dealer price on the real thing!
