Note: GM has remade this remote many times. They originally had memory #1 and #2 remotes. The purpose was for vehicles with seat memory. In reality it was ridiculous because the order that you program them determines which is #1 and #2. The numbers on the back were just for reference. In 2006 GM decided to discontinue using #1 and #2 and they started making un-numbered remotes. GM's current part number for this remote is 21997127. If you go to a GM dealer parts department you will get the new number remote no matter what remote you have now. All the remotes with the part numbers listed above are identical inside and in function so we mix them together.
